Goods in Operator
A Goods In Operator at SSC supports production by receiving deliveries, checking quality and quantities, booking materials into the system, and storing them correctly. The role includes managing inbound logistics, expediting orders, operating an FLT, raising NCRs, and ensuring materials are available with full documentation.
Working closely with production and purchasing, it suits someone organised, detail focused, proactive, and a strong team player committed to accuracy, communication, and continuous improvement.
Buyer
SSC is looking for an experienced Buyer to support cost-effective procurement in a fast-paced laser cutting and press brake environment. You will manage the end-to-end purchasing process, negotiate with suppliers, maintain material flow and work closely with sales and production to meet customer commitments. The role requires previous purchasing experience, strong organisational, analytical and communication skills, and confidence using MRP systems. Knowledge of metals is advantageous.
Purchasing Manager
SSC is seeking a Purchasing Manager to lead the cost-effective procurement of quality goods and services within a fast-paced laser cutting and press brake environment. You will manage suppliers, negotiate contracts, control stock, analyse purchasing data and drive continuous improvement while supporting ISO 9001 compliance. The role requires strong commercial awareness, proven negotiation skills, CIPS qualification or equivalent experience, and knowledge of steel, stainless and aluminium. This position suits a results-focused leader with excellent organisational, analytical and teamworking abilities.
